Head of Business Intelligence

As our Head of Business Intelligence, you’ll have the chance to shape the future of our data landscape, overseeing the design and implementation of cutting-edge BI solutions that support decision-making across the organisation.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and mentor a team of talented BI analysts, empowering them to deliver actionable insights.
• Collaborate with various departments to design and execute comprehensive BI strategies.
• Oversee the development of Power BI dashboards and reports to meet the organisation’s needs.
• Manage end-to-end BI projects, from gathering requirements to successful implementation.
• Ensure the smooth flow of data through pipelines, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Leverage SQL to extract, transform, and load data, ensuring optimal performance in our data warehouses.
• Work closely with data engineers to integrate diverse data sources into a cohesive, accessible data warehouse.
• Champion the security, accuracy, and reliability of all BI solutions.
• Optimise SQL queries to enhance reporting and analytical processes.
• Manage relationships with external data vendors and oversee their contributions.
• Stay ahead of BI trends and technologies, fostering innovation within the team.
• Collaborate across business functions, aligning BI solutions with broader organisational goals.

Experience Required:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar BI leadership role.
• Experience Managing a team and stakeholders. 
• Expertise in Power BI or similar reporting visualisation tools.
• Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and manipulation.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure stack, particularly Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Database.
• Proven experience in managing and scaling BI teams.
• A track record of designing and maintaining data pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills, especially in translating data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
