About iSchool Africa :

iSchoolAfrica brings the world’s best technology and innovative classroom practice to

township, rural and inclusive schools across South Africa. Since 2009, we have supported

over 120 000 learners, equipping them with digital skills, confidence and opportunity.

A flagship initiative is the iSchoolAfrica Inclusion Programme, which provides iPad

devices, assistive technology, and educator training to support learners with autism,

blindness and low vision, deaf and hard-of-hearing needs, cerebral palsy, motor

challenges, dyslexia and other learning barriers.

In 2025, this programme received the prestigious Project Zero Award, recognising

innovation in using ICT to create a world with zero barriers for people with disabilities.

Role Overview :


To lead and strengthen iSchoolAfrica’s commitment to disability inclusion and accessibility by driving the growth, quality and impact of the Inclusion Programme nationally.



Key Responsibilities:

Overall co-ordination of the Inclusion Programme

Oversight of client relations, curriculum implementation, training, rollout andsustainability

Budget and resource management

Monitoring, evaluation and reporting on programme effectiveness and impact

Ensuring quality assurance and continuous improvement

Facilitation of educator workshops and training sessions

Relationship management with schools, funders, government and partners

Representation at conferences and sector events

Advocacy for disability inclusion and accessible technology

Develop and deliver training on disability inclusion and accessibility for internal teams

Support organisational alignment with inclusive best practice


Skills & Experience Required :

Minimum 5 years experience in disability inclusion, accessibility or inclusive education

Proven experience managing and implementing inclusion programmes

Strong understanding of the South African disability and education landscape

Technologically confident — particularly in using Apple technology to enhance accessibility

Excellent facilitation, presentation and communication skills

Strong stakeholder management abilities

Solid project management skills, including budgeting and reporting
